Kendall Pitches Eagles Past COD in Baseball

Ryan Kendall threw a complete game on Tuesday as the MSJC baseball team defeated visiting College of the Desert 6-1 in a Foothill Conference game.kendallbaseball.jpg

The Roadrunners came out and scored their lone run in the top of the first to take a 1-0 lead.  The Eagles answered right back scoring two in the bottom of the first on Blake English's two RBI single.  MSJC would go on to add single runs in the third, fourth, sixth, and eighth inning for the victory.

Adam Balliger and Jeff Ricker both had two hits a piece for MSJC, Balliger and Vince Canales each picked up an RBI.  Kendall finished the day allowing just one unearned run and 4 hits while striking out five and walking five he improved his season record on the mound to 2-1.

The Eagles are now 13-14 overall and 9-7 in Foothill Conference action while Desert fell to 14-15 overall and 11-8 in conference.  The two teams will play again on Thursday in Palm Desert and wrap up the three game series back here in San Jacinto on Saturday.  Thursday's game is set to begin at 2:30 while Saturday's contest is slated for 12 pm.
