The Eagles jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st when Bryan Derzern scored on a wild pitch.  IVC would take their only lead of the day in the bottom of the second when Arab shortstop Steven Panela drove in a pair of runs on a single giving IVC a 2-1 advantage.  MSJC evened the game quickly as they scored a run in the top of the third when Marino Rojas scored on a ground out by Josh Minder.  The Eagles then regained the lead in the fifth when JT Brown earned an RBI after being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded scoring Jake Pulcheo.

The game would stay 3-2 in favor of the Eagles until the top of the 7th when MSJC erupted for five runs to put the game out of reach.  Nick Gonzales got the scoring started with an RBI double, scoring Minder, Mauryse McClellan then drove in three runs in his at bat, and he would eventually score on a sacrifice fly by Marino Rojas to put MSJC up 8-2. IVC would tack on one run in the bottom of the 9th to make the final 8-3 MSJC.
