The game started with a defensive first quarter as the Huskies scored the only points late with a touchdown, but were unable to convert the point after and led after one 6-0.  MSJC answered early in the second quarter when quarterback Tim Morovick ran in from 18 yards out and after a two point conversion the Eagles had their first lead of the night at 8-6.  The scoring picked up in the second period as MSJC built their lead to 11-6 on a Jaime Lucio's first field goal of the game, a 26 yarder.  East Los Angeles would regain the lead in this see saw affair before halftime as they scored two more touchdowns in the first half.  Superiorr Reid added a score for MSJC before half as well on an 80 yard run that made the score Huskies 19 Eagles 18 at the half.

The Eagles came out of the gates strong in the second half for the third straight week as they marched down the field 68 yards on 10 plays and reclaimed the lead on a 6 yard touchdown pass from Morovick to Dalton Hunkle.  East Los Angeles continued to move the ball through the air and answered with a touchdown of their own with just over five minutes to play in the third quarter and the period ended with Huskies leading 26-25.

The final six minutes of the game were frantic as the Huskies pushed their lead to 7 on Aaron Cantu's fourth touchdown pass of the day with 5:54 to play in the game.  The Eagles blocked the extra point however to keep the lead at 7.  On the ensuing possession Reid took the ball down the right sideline 70 yards on the first play from scrimmage for his second long TD of the game and the Eagles tied the score 32 with 5:31 to go in the game.  East Los Angeles drove the ball down the field on their next series, but stalled on a fourth and goal play when they fumbled the snap and had to fall on it at the Eagles 20 yard line where MSJC took over with just over 2 minutes to play.  The Eagles moved the ball 65 yards on 10 plays including a 42 yard pass play from Morovick to Hunkle which set up the game winning field goal.  Lucio's game winner from 32 yards out came after three consecutive time outs were called on the field.  The Eagles did have to kick the ball off and East Los Angeles tried several laterals before the Eagles were able to come up with a fumble to seal the victory.

Reid ended the day rushing for 190 yards on 16 carries while Michael Harrison went for 53 yards on 11 runs.  Morovick wrapped up the game going 16 for 26 for 222 yards with Hunkle catching 8 of those passes for 136.  On defense MSJC sacked Cantu three times and intercepted him 3 times.  Roosevelt Pearson picked up two sacks while Jason Dixon had one for the Eagles and Dejon Brown had two interceptions on the evening while Bret Layton also picked one off.  Kamarus Bryant led the Eagles in tackles with 10.
