Brown and Dixon led the Eagles defense this year as the team's top two tacklers.  Brown signed with NCAA Division I Western Kentucky while Dixon signed with NCAA Division II Eastern New Mexico.

Brown finished the season with a team high 60 tackles including 4.5 tackles for loss.  Brown was a two time First Team all American Mountain Conference selection for the Eagles.  Brown also earned All State honors both seasons with MSJC.  Brown chose Western Kentucky over a number of schools vying for his services including; Iowa State, Utah State, and Washington State.  "Dejon is an extremely talented player who was a two time all stater," said Head MSJC Coach Casey Mazzotta, "I am really pleased with how he has progressed."

Dixon was the Eagles second leading tackler this year as he recorded 47 stops including 6 tackles for loss, he also had an interception during the year.  Dixon was named Second Team All American Mountain Conference this past season.  Dixon chose the Greyhounds of Eastern New Mexico over numerous Division II schools including; Minot State, Colorado Mesa, and Fayetteville State.  "I am really proud of J.J." added Mazzotta, "He really displayed his work ethic both on and off the field earning his AA degree in just three semesters and being an All Conference player for us."

"Having two guys from the same line backing corps sign early is great," said Mazzotta "I am glad they both had choices and it is a testament to our academic support system that they both are ready to move on at mid year."

According to Mazzotta two more MSJC players may still sign in this early period as Mario Jacobs and Tyler Henderson are getting heavy FBS recruitment from schools including; Western Kentucky, New Mexico, and UMass.  Numerous other players are expected to sign in the Spring.
