Eagles' Season Ends at East Los Angeles

The MSJC men's basketball team struggled to find their offensive range for the second straight game, and this time they couldn't recover as they fell to East LA 71-52 in a CCCAA So Cal TreNottinghamforelac-16.jpg

The Eagles connected on just 4 of 23, 3 point shots and 16 of 46 total field goals in the loss.  MSJC fought hard and stayed in the game in the first half as they trailed just 32-25 at the break, but the Huskies were able to push the lead into double figures about midway through the second and the Eagles could not mount a comeback.

Tre Nottingham led the Eagle offense with 16 points while Orlando Quinones came off the bench to add 10.  Kendall Brown and Carl Brown both had 8 points for MSJC.

The Eagles conclude their season with a 26-6 record, while East LA advances to the Regional Final on Saturday where they will take on Saddleback. The Huskies improved to 26-3.
MSJC, had another fantastic season in which they won over 20 games for the 9th straight year and won the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference championship for the third straight time.

PCAC North Player of the Year Tre Nottingham had 16 points on Wednesday night, but the MSJC men's basketball team saw their season come to an end with a 71-52 loss at East Los Angeles in the Southern California Regional Semi-Finals.  The Eagles, three time defending conference champions, finished their season 26-6.  (DeeAnn Bradley/MSJC)
