Eagles Make it 10 Straight With Win at Miramar
The MSJC men's basketball team broke free from an 11-11 tie early in the game on Wednesday night to cruise past Miramar College 97-54 in a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North Division
game in San Diego.
The Eagles led 48-25 by halftime and then continued to dominate in the second 20 minutes out scoring the Jets 49-29. Four MSJC players reached double figures led by Tre Nottingham who had a very efficient game scoring 24 points on 7 of 9 shooting, including going 6 for 8 from three point range. Nottingham also passed out a game high 8 assists. Carl Brown added 16 points of the bench as he knocked down 4 three pointers in the game. Devin Fleming added 13 points and Nick Pete had 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks in the victory. As a team MSJC shot 15 of 34 on the night from behind the arc.
The win was the Eagles 10th in a row and improved them to 22-4 overall on the season they are 4-0 in PCAC North action. Miramar fell to 10-14 on the year and 1-3 in conference play. MSJC returns to action on Friday when they travel to El Cajon to take on Grossmont in a 5 pm game.
Tre Nottingham had 24 points and 8 assists Wednesday to help the MSJC men's basketball team to their 10th straight win as they won at San Diego Miramar 97-54. The win pushed MSJC's record on the season to 22-4 overall and 4-0 in conference play. (DeeAnn Bradley/MSJC)
