Eagles Offense Blows Out Desert

The MSJC men's basketball team saw seven players reach double figures in scoring on Saturday as they ran past visiting College of the Desert in a non-conference home game, beating the nickpetevscod.jpg
Roadrunners 124-85.

The Eagles shot 55% in the first half as they flew out of the gates to take a 65-42 lead at halftime.  Tre Nottingham had 19 of his game high 25 points in the first half to help build the lead, he also finished the day with 4 assists.  All five MSJC starters had double figure scoring nights.  Nick Pete had a double double with 18 points and 12 rebounds while Roosevelt Adams added 14 points and 8 boards.  Kendall Brown scored 14 points and Devin Fleming chipped in with 12.  Matt Bradshaw and Carl Brown each scored in double digits off the bench with Bradshaw scoring 14 and Brown adding 13 in the victory.

The Eagles also dominated the glass on Saturday as they out rebounded the Roadrunners 53-34 in the contest.

The win improved the Eagles record to 13-4 on the season while Desert fell to 5-12.  MSJC will be back at home on Wednesday when they take on San Diego City.  Tip-off is set for 7 pm, following the MSJC Lady Eagles game with Southwestern College.
