Eagles Wrap up Regular Season with Sophomore Night Blow Out
The MSJC men's basketball team broke open a close game on Friday night to finish their regular season with an easy 85-56 win over visiting San Diego Miramar on Sophomore Night.
The Eagles led by just seven at halftime, 40-33, but came out and buried seven three pointers in the second half to build the lead. Tre Nottingham led the MSJC offense on the night with 18 points including five three point goals. Carl Brown came off the bench to add 14 points and 8 rebounds, scoring 11 during the second half run by the Eagles. Kendall Brown just missed double figures in scoring as he had 9. Eleven of the twelve Eagles that played in the game scored at least 4 points.
Friday night marked the final regular season home game for five MSJC sophomores. Roosevelt Adams, Devin Shallowhorn, Rhojon Brett, Tyler Cooper, and Kendall Brown each were honored prior to the start of the contest.
The win wrapped up the regular season for MSJC as they finished with an overall record of 25-5 and a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference mark of 7-1. MSJC has now captured three straight PCAC North Division titles.
The Eagles will find out Monday afternoon their seeding in the CCCAA State play-offs.
