Former Eagle Hoops Stand Out Signs Scholarship

Mylan Jordan, a member of the 2012-13 MSJC men's basketball team, has signed a scholarship with Park University in Parkville, Missouri to continue his educational and playing career.mylanforpark.jpg

Jordan helped the Eagles to a 21-11 record and a run into the Southern California Regional Semi-Finals during the 12-13 season.  Jordan finished the year averaging just under 10 points per game at 9.8 a contest while pulling in 2.2 rebounds and passing out just shy of 2 assists per game.  He played in 31 of MSJC's 32 games that season and scored in double figures 15 times while averaging 17 minutes per game.  Joirdan scored a career high 23 points against Long Beach City College on November 10th, 2012. 

Park University is a NAIA Division I school and is coming off a season where they posted a record of 17-12.  Park is a member of the American Midwest Conference and last season went 14-6 in conference play.  "Mylan is a tremendous scorer," said MSJC Head Coach Patrick Springer.  "He can score of the catch or the bounce, he was a big contributor to our regular season and play-off success two years ago."

Prior to his arrival at MSJC, Jordan played his freshman season at Kansas City, Kansas Community College.  Mylan is a native of St. Louis, MO.
