Former MSJC Hoopster Signs at Mountain State
Mark Williams, a former stand out guard for the Eagles basketball team, has signed a scholarship to continue his education and basketball career at Mountain State University in West Virginia.
Williams played for the Eagles during the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons. In his career Mark scored 765 points and helped guide the Eagles to a Foothill Conference championship during the 07-08 season. During his freshman year the Eagles finished 26-7 while Williams averaged 11.8 points per game. During his sophomore year MSJC posted a 23-11 record and Mark was named First Team All Foothill Conference after averaging 12.5 points and 3.2 assists per game.
Mountain State is an NAIA school who has made it to the NAIA National Tournament six times since 2003. In 2004 Mountain State won the national championship.
