MSJC Men Lose Offensive Game at Miramar
The MSJC men's basketball team led by two at the half, but were out scored 66-57 in the second half to fall on the road 97-90 at San Diego Miramar in a PCAC North game.
The Eagles held a 33-31 halftime lead behind some solid outside shooting and strong rebounding. The Jets took off though in the second half as they used a balanced offensive attack to overtake the lead and win the game finishing with five guys ending the day in double figures.
For MSJC Davon Sanders led the way on offense with 29 points as he connected on 5 of 9 three point shots. David Thompson added 17 points and 6 assists, while C.J. Hyder had 12 points and 6 rebounds.
The Eagles fell to 11-14 overall on the season with the loss, they are 3-3 in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North Division play. Miramar avenged an earlier loss to the Eagles and improved to 17-7 for the season and 4-2 in conference play.
MSJC will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to San Marcos to take on Palomar. Wednesday's game is set to tip-off at 6 pm.
