MSJC Men Pick up Road Win at Desert
The MSJC men's basketball team picked up a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference win on Wednesday night at College of the Desert 95-79.
The Eagles used a pair of runs in the first half to build a 52-28 lead at the break and coasted home with the victory. The Eagles had four players reach double figures in scoring led by Tre Nottingham and Jaryn Taylor who both had 19. Taylor had a double double as he also pulled in a game high 12 rebounds. Nottingham added 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Carl Brown had 12 points and 6 boards for MSJC while Jeremy Bonifacio scored 11 and had 8 rebounds.
The win improved the Eagles record on the season to 17-9 overall and 3-1 in PCAC North play, it also set up a showdown with first place San Bernardino Valley on Friday night. MSJC trails the Wolverines (19-5, 4-0) by one game in the conference standings. MSJC is the three time defending conference champions. Friday's game will be a home game for the Eagles on the San Jacinto Campus. Tip off is set for 7 pm following an MSJC women's contest at 5.
