MSJC Men Stay Perfect in Conference

The MSJC men pushed their overall winning streak to eight games and stayed unbeaten in tTaylorBellchaf.jpghe Foothill Conference on Saturday with an 85-75 victory over visiting Chaffey College.

The Eagles controlled the up tempo game by out rebounding the Panthers and by making 13 three point baskets on the afternoon.  After taking a 41-34 lead at halftime, the Eagles were able to push the lead to as much as 18 in the second half before winning by the final margin of 10.

MSJC, who has used balanced scoring all season, once again had four players reach double figures led by Anthony Dees 25 points.  Dees made 7 of 13 three point shots in the game.  Josh Gouch added 15 for the Eagles in the victory while Montreal Harris recorded a double double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.  Taylor Bell just missed a double double with 13 points and 9 boards.

The win improved MSJC's overall record to 15-3 and Foothill Conference mark to 4-0.  Chaffey fell to 12-7 overall and 2-2 in the conference.  The Eagles who are currently ranked #2 in Southern California and #4 in the state will be at home on Wednesday night when they host Victor Valley in a 7 pm game.
