MSJC Men Work Overtime for Victory
The MSJC men's basketball team needed an extra five minutes Friday night, but were able to pick up a much needed road victory in the PCAC North Division with an 80-71 win over Miramar.
The Eagles let a late lead in regulation slip away with the state's leading scorer Samuel Williams on the bench as a result of five personal fouls, but regained their footing in overtime. MSJC out scored Miramar 14-5 in the extra frame on their way to the victory, which ended a two game losing streak.
The Eagles used a balanced scoring attack as four players reached double figures led by Alan Palesano's 14. O'Donnell took control of the game in overtime as he scored 9 of MSJC's 14 points.
