Men's Basketball Player Tre Nottingham Earns D1 Scholarship
MSJC men's basketball player Tre Nottingham signed a National Letter of Intent today to continue his playing career next season at Texas State University.
Nottingham begins his sophomore season for the Eagles as the reigning Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year. He also earned First Team All State honors last year as a freshman for MSJC. Nottingham helped the Eagles to their third straight conference championship on route to an overall record on the year of 26-6 during the 2015-16 season.
Nottingham was the team's top scorer a year ago as he averaged 16.4 points per game. He also was the team's top assist man as he dished out 4.5 a contest. So far this year through three games for MSJC Tre is averaging 20 points per game.
Texas State is an NCAA Division I school located in San Marcos, Texas. The Bobcats are members of the Sun Belt Conference and are coming off a season last year where they went 15-16. Nottingham is the first Eagle player from the 2016-17 team to sign. Today marked the first day of the early signing period for community college basketball athletes.
Tre Nottingham pictured with his parents and MSJC Head Coach Patrick Springer signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Texas State University during the 2017-18 school year. Texas State is an NCAA Division I school located in San Marcos, Texas.
