Men's Hoops Wins on the Road at Palomar
The MSJC men's basketball team won their final road game of the regular season on Friday night with a comfortable 69-54 win at Palomar.
The Eagles built a lead of 35-20 by halftime and cruised home with the victory. David Thompson and Luka Filipovic led the way on offense as they both scored a game high 19 points. Filipovic added 7 rebounds and a pair of blocks to his solid performance. Deshawn Millington also reached double figures in scoring with 10 points to go along with 7 boards and a team high 4 assists in the win. Lenzell Simmons pulled down a game high 11 rebounds for the Eagles who out rebounded the Comets on the night 46-29.
The win gives MSJC their 20th of the season as they improve to 20-5 on the season, they are 5-3 in PCAC North games.
The Eagles will close out the regular season this week with a pair of home games on Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday MSJC will host San Bernardino Valley while on Thursday College of the Desert comes to town. Both games this week are scheduled for 7 pm.
MSJC's Luka Filipovic had 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks on Friday night as the Eagles beat Palomar on the road 69-54. MSJC has two regular season games remaining, both are at home this week as the host SBVC on Tuesday and Desert on Thursday. Both games will tip off at 7. (DeeAnn Bradley/MSJC)
