Tough Night Costs MSJC Men's Basketball
The MSJC men's basketball team shot just 35% from the field Friday night as they lost a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North Division game at home to San Bernardino Valley 90-65.
The Eagles fought through a tough night from the floor in the first half by staying even with the Wolverines on the glass, but trailed 38-28 at the break. SBVC who shot just under 48% from the field for the game hit 50% of their three pointers in the second half to pull away.
Tre Nottingham led the Eagles offense with a game high 25 points, he also pulled down 7 rebounds. Mat Bradshaw came off the bench to hit double figures with 12 points. Jaryn Taylor just missed a double double with 9 points and 9 rebounds, Carl Brown struggled shooting, but did pull down 7 boards.
The loss drops MSJC two games behind SBVC in the conference standings. The Eagles are now 17-10 overall on the season and 3-2 in the PCAC North while the Wolverines improved to 20-5 for the season and 5-0 in conference play.
The Eagles will have the week to prepare for San Diego Miramar who will visit MSJC on Saturday. Miramar up ended the Eagles 72-67 in San Diego on January 14th. Saturday's game here on the San Jacinto Campus will tip off at 3 pm.
