Eagle Golfers 2nd in PCAC Opener
The MSJC men's golf team got their conference season off to a strong start on Monday as they shot 370 to come in second place in the first Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match of the year.
The Eagles recorded a 4-1 record for the afternoon as they bested Victor Valley, El Camino, Cuyamaca, and Palomar, but fell 9 strokes short of College of the Desert who posted a team best on the day of 361. Nathan Brady and Richard Schweitzer led the MSJC charge at Spring Valley Golf Club in Victorville as each carded a 71 on the breezy afternoon. Nicholas Medeiros turned in a 75 while Erick Liscio shot 76 for MSJC. Sam Thomson added a 77 and Cesar Cruz shot 82.
MSJC was coming off an impressive win at the Eagle Golf Classic last week. The Eagles will be back in action next Monday February 29th when they take part in the Riverside City College Invitational at Victoria Country Club.
