Golfers Shoot 850 Over Two Days in Lompac

The MSJC men's golf team fought a couple of tough courses and some wet conditions on Sunday and Monday as they competed in the Point Conception Open in Lompac.claytoncollins2014golf.JPG

The Eagles recorded back to back 425's as Sunday they played at the Marshallia Golf Club and Monday competed at LaPurisima.  Ethan Munoz and Chris Hein both shot 81's on Sunday to lead the way for the Eagles.  Jordan Reed added an 86 while Clayton Collins carded an 88.  Alex Campos had an 89 and Jackson Frye turned in a 91 to round out MSJC's scoring on day one.

On day two it was Collins who turned in the Eagles low score with an 81, followed by Reed's 82.  Frye and Munoz both shot 87's while Campos and Hein both had 88's.  College of the Desert won the two day event shooting a 746 while Ventura came in second at 757.

The Eagles return to action on Monday March 10th when they take part in a PCAC match at Stoneridge Country Club in Poway.


Clayton Collins shot a team low 81 on day two of the Point Conception Open in Lomapc as the Eagles competed in the two day event.  College of the Desert took the team title in the tournament.
