MSJC Golfers Fire 395 at Torrey Pines
The MSJC men's golf team finished third for the second straight Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match on Wednesday as they shot a 395 at historic Torrey Pines.
The Eagles and five other teams played Torrey Pines North on Wednesday with Palomar edging out College of the Desert for first place. Palomar shot a 374 on the day while Desert checked in at 378, MSJC was third followed by; Cuyamaca at 401, El Camino at 419, and Victor Valley at 425.
Colin McNie led the way for MSJC as he fired a 73. Erick Liscio shot a 76 for the Eagles while Cesar Cruz came in with a 79. Rocky Thornton was next with an 81 and Nicholas Medeiros had an 86. Josh Pagan rounded out MSJC's scoring on the day with a 91.
MSJC has finished third in the first two PCAC matches of the season and stand with a current conference record of 6-4. The Eagles will be back in action when they travel to Lompac to play in the two day Point Conception Open on Sunday and Monday March 1st and 2nd.
Colin McNie shot a 73 on Wednesday on the North Course at Torrey Pines to help the MSJC golf team to a third place finish in their second PCAC match of the year.
