MSJC Golfers Second at Desert Island

The MSJC men's golf team moved into a second place tie in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference standings on Monday by shooting a 378 at Desert Island Country Club in Rancho Mirage.medeirosforpcac7-16.jpg

The Eagles finished second on the day as well, playing in the 7th PCAC match of the season.  Nathan Brady and Nicholas Medeiros tied for the team's best score on the day as each shot a 74.  Richard Schweitzer added a 75 for MSJC, while Erick Liscio turned in a 77.  Cesar Cruz carded a 78 and the Eagles scoring on the day was rounded out with an 80 from Sam Thomson.  MSJC's 378 total allowed them to finish ahead of third place Palomar who shot 380.  The Eagles fell short of College of the Desert, who had the best score of the day with 354.  MSJC also finished ahead of; Cuyamaca (384), El Camino (405), and Victor Valley (419).

The Eagles will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to El Cajon to play in PCAC match #8 at Sycuan Golf Club.  Tee times are set to begin at noon.

Nicholas Medeiros shot a 74 on Monday at Desert Island Country Club in Rancho Mirage to help the MSJC men's golf team finish second in PCAC match #7.  With Monday's second place showing, the Eagles moved into a 2nd place tie with Palomar in the PCAC standings.
