MSJC Golfers Third at PCAC Match Six
The MSJC men's golf team shot 382 on Wednesday at Mission Hills Country Club, but came up just a shot short of second place and three shots shy of winning the event.
The Eagles who were led by Richard Schweitzer who carded a team best 74 on the day, finished behind Palomar who posted a team score of 379 and College of the Desert who shot 381. Sam Proctor also had a solid round for MSJC with a 75 while Tyler Galleher turned in a 77. Kieran Blundell and Austin Crenshaw each recorded 78's and the Eagles' Vincent Brunet shot 82.
Wednesday's match was the sixth Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match of the season and the Eagles are currently tied for second place with a league record of 16-8. College of the Desert currently leads the standings at 21-3. The next PCAC match is scheduled for next Wednesday at Twin Oaks Golf Club.
