MSJC Golfers Win Title at 15 Team Eagle Classic

The MSJC men's golf team had great day on Wednesday as they captured the team championship of the Eagle Golf Classic held at Soboba Springs Country Clubmgolfeagleclassicchamps.jpg.

The Eagles team score of 376 was four strokes better than second place College of the Desert and five strokes better than third place Orange Coast.  MSJC bested 14 other teams to earn the Invitational title.

Nathan Brady and Richard Schweitzer led the way for the Eagles as they posted 72's on the day.  Erick Liscio fired a 76 for MSJC while Cesar Cruz turned in a 77.  Nicholas Medeiros shot 79 and Sam Thomson rounded out MSJC's scoring with an 84.  Brady and Schweitzer's 72's were just two shots off the lowest round of the day, as Marcus De La Rosa from Orange Coast and Brandon Dooley of Citrus each carded 70s to turn in the best individual scores of the 86 golfers who participated in the tournament.

The Eagles will return to action on Monday February 22nd when they play in a match at Spring Valley Lakes in Victorville.
