Men's Golf 7th at Eagle Classic
The MSJC men's golf team finished 7th out of 16 teams on Wednesday as they hosted the Annual Eagle Golf Classic at Tuckwet Canyon Golf Club in Beaumont.
The Eagles were led by Sam Proctor who shot a 74 on the day. Kieran Blundell was next for MSJC with a 76, while Tini Hawea carded a 78. Austen Lopez shot 80 while Tyler Galleher had an 81, and Bernard Campos had an 82 for MSJC. The Eagles team total of 389 was just 12 shots off the winning team score of 377 by Orange Coast.
OCC took home the title, they were followed by Palomar who finished five strokes back at 382. Mt. SAC and Cypress both also had team scores of 382, but the tie breaker gave 2nd to Palomar and 3rd place to Mt. SAC while Cypress was credited with a fourth place finish. Saddleback (384) and Riverside (386) were the other two teams to finish ahead of MSJC.
The Eagles will now have time to get in some practice rounds, before returning to action on Monday February 26th. On the 26th MSJC will play at the Victoria Club as part of the Riverside City College Invitational.
