Men's Golf Closes in On Second Place

The MSJC men's golf team went 3-1 on Monday in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match #10 at Sun Lakes Country Club to move within one loss of second place in the conference standings.tygalleherpcac10-17.jpg

The Eagles were led on Monday by Kieran Blundell who shot 76.  Richard Schwietzer was next at 77 while Sam Proctor turned in an 80.  Vincent Brunet carded an 81 for the Eagles while Bernard Campos and Tyler Galleher each shot 83's.

MSJC is now just one loss behind Palomar for second place in the conference standings with next Monday's two round PCAC finals at El Camino Golf Club the only remaing date on the regular season schedule.  All team's will play 36 holes on Monday to decide the final conference standings.  The Eagle's Richard Schwietzer will enter the conference finals tied for top scorer in the league.  He currently has a scoring average of 73.9 in PCAC matches.

MSJC's Tyler Galleher and his teammates are just one loss behind Palomar for second place in the PCAC men's golf standings with just the 36 hole conference finals remaining in the regular season.  The Eagles will try to move past the Comets next Monday at El Camino Golf Club.  (DeeAnn Bradley/MSJC).
