Men's Golf Team 2nd at Pnoomonia Tournament

The MSJC men's golf team tied for second place on Monday in the nine team Pnoomonia Tournament played in Victorville.

The tournament was a best ball format and the Eagles' team of Nathan Brady and Sam Thomson turned in the best score of the day with a 65 at Spring Valley Lakes Golf Club.  Cesar Cruz and Richard Schweitzer carded at 67 on the day and Erick Liscio and Nicholas Medeiros shot 73.  The Eagles combined score of 205 was good enough to tie with Riverside City College for second place in the nine team event just four shots back of College of the Desert who won with a 201.

This was MSJC's second event of the season and they will now play two consecutive Wednesdays on their home course at Soboba Country Club.  Tomorrow the Eagles will host Cypress College in a dual match and next Wednesday the 17th MSJC will host the Eagle Golf Classic.  The tournament on the 17th will feature 16 of the top teams from Southern California.
