Men's Golf Team Fifth at RCC Invitational
The MSJC men's golf team shot 380 on Monday to finish fifth in the 12 team Riverside City College Invitational played at Victoria Country Club in Riverside.
Nathan Brady led the Eagles as he shot a 70, tying him for medalist honors on the day. Ryan Mendoza of Santiago Canyon also shot 70. Richard Schweitzer carded a 75 for MSJC, while Erick Liscio shot 76 and Sam Thomsom turned in a 78. Nicholas Medeiros had an 81 and Jordan Reed rounded out the Eagles scoring on the day with a 93.
MSJC's 380 was just 5 shots off team championship scored of Reedley College who shot 375. In the crowded top five, Santiago Canyon was second at 376, College of the Desert shot 377, and Riverside edged the Eagles by one stroke with a 379.
The Eagles will return to action on Sunday and Monday March 6th and 7th when they take part in the Pt. Conception Open in Lompac.
Nathan Brady shot at 70, which tied him for the low round of the day in the 72 man field of the Riverside Invitational at Victoria Country Club. Brady and his teammates came in 5th place in the 12 team event.
