Men's Golfer Richie Schweitzer Headed to Whittier

Richiesigns2-17.jpgwho earned Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors this past Spring for the Eagles helped his team into the CCCAA Southern California Regional Tournament and qualified as an individual for the State Meet.  Schweitzer, a graduate of Hemet High School, led his team to an overall conference record of 33-15 earning them second place in the PCAC standings.

Schweitzer finished his season on a roll as he tied for Medalist honors in the conference finals by shooting back to back 73's.  His regular season scoring average of 73.7 was best in the conference.  He went on to shoot 81-71 in the Southern California Regionals earning a spot in the State Championships.

Whittier College is an NCAA Division III school located in Whittier.  They are members of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC).  The Poets are coming off a season in which they went 8-16 in conference play.

MSJC men's golfer Richard Schweitzer will play next season at Whittier College.  Schweitzer earned PCAC Player of the Year honors this past season for the Eagles as he led the conference with a scoring average of 73.7, he advanced to the CCCAA State Championships.  (DeeAnn Bradley/MSJC)
