Three Eagle Golfers Named All PCAC

Three MSJC men's golfers were named to the All Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Golf Team released on Monday by the conference.nathanbrady2016.jpg

Nathan Brady, Richard Schweitzer, and Nicholas Medeiros were all honored for their play this season as they helped the Eagles to a runner-up finish in the PCAC standings with a record of 42-13.  MSJC will be playing in the Southern California Regional Tournament on Monday May 9th at Bear Creek Golf Club in Murrieta.

Brady, a freshman from Paloma Valley High School, finished the conference season with a scoring average of 72.3.  Brady had the fourth best scoring average in the conference and was twice medalist in conference events.  Brady's best round of the season was a 67 which he shot at Yucaipa Golf Club on April 20th.  Schweitzer was right behind Brady with the fifth best scoring average in the conference at 72.8.  Schweitzer also earned medalist honors at two of MSJC's PCAC matches this year.  The freshman from Hemet High had his best round at Skylinks Golf Club April 4th when he carded a 70, he also had two 71's in conference play.  Medeiros, a sophomore from Hemet West Valley HS, ended the regular season with the 9th best scoring average in the PCAC at 75.2.  Medeiros also put up his best score of the season at Skylinks when he turned in a 71.  These three along with their teammates helped MSJC set the school scoring record at Skylinks on April 4th when the team shot a 6 under par 354.

The Eagles second place finish in the PCAC was the highest conference finish in men's golf since 2002 and their 42 conference victories set the school record for a season.
