Eagle Tennis Team Falls 6-3 to Grossmont
The MSJC men's tennis team built a 3-2 lead after singles on Thursday, but lost all three doubles matches to come up just short in a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference contest losing to Grossmont 6-3.
Nicolas Tessi started things off for the Eagles with a 6-2, 3-6, 10-7 win over Morgan Peyre in the #1 singles match. Thibaud Garces came up just short for MSJC in the #2 singles match losing 4-6, 6-3, and 8-10. Lauro Madureira had the most dominate singles win for MSJC as he won in straight sets 6-0 and 6-1 and Thigo Salgado also picked up a singles victory 4-6, 6-4, and 10-8 to give the Eagles their third point.
Two close doubles losses ended the Eagles chance of victory. MSJC is now 8-8 overall on the season and 8-4 in PCAC play. The Eagles will play their final regular season match of the season next Tuesday March 31st when they host College of the Desert at 2 pm on the San Jacinto Campus.
