Men's Tennis Conference Win Streak Snapped at Four
The MSJC men's tennis team lost in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play for the first time this season as they fell to Grossmont 7-2 in El Cajon on Tuesday.
The Eagles did manage to take two singles matches as #2 Thibaud Garces beat Alan Lamas 6-3 and 6-0 and #3 Lauro Madureira won his match over Juan Pedro Reyes 6-2 and 6-2. #4 Thigo Salgado had the next closest singles match, but came up short against Siggy Menzel 4-6 and 2-6. Grossmont also took the two doubles matches that were contested on the court.
The loss stopped a four game PCAC winning streak for the Eagles and dropped their overall record on the season to 4-5. MSJC is 4-1 in PCAC play and will travel to Palm Desert to take on College of the Desert at 2 pm on Thursday February 26th.
