Men's Tennis Has Four Compete at Ojai

The MSJC men's tennis team had four players represent their squad at the CCCAA State Tournament in Ojai this past weekend to wrap up the 2015 season.

The Eagles who finished the season with a team record of 8-10 overall and 8-6 in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference had three singles players and two doubles teams compete in Ojai.  Singles players Lauro Madureira and Thibaud Garces both won a first round match before falling in the second round.  Nicholas Tessi dropped his first round match.  The doubles team of Tessi and Garces defeated a team from Diablo Valley College in the first round of the doubles bracket before getting beat by a team from Cerritos.  Madureira teamed with Thiago Salgado to make up the Eagles second doubles team.  These players qualified for the State Tournament with their strong play in the PCAC Tournament.

For his efforts on the season Tessi, the Eagles number 1 singles player, earned First Team All Conference honors.
