Eagle Tennis Bounces Back With Win

The men's tennis team rebounded from Tuesday's loss against COD by quickly defeating Mt. San Antonio College @ Mt Sac by the score of 9-0. This concluded the 1st round of South Coast Conference match play leaving the eagles in sole possession of 2nd place. Mt. Sac had recently added a few players and was fielding one of their better teams in recent years. However, this made little difference as the eagles made quick work in singles without dropping a set and then torched their opponents in the doubles rotation dropping only 3 games total in all 3 positions. #1 doubles combo Emmanuel 'Golden Racket' Mensah and Taylor Witt continued to dominate their opposition and remained undefeated in conference play. Also, remaining undefeated in doubles action was Kenny 'old school' Hotchkiss and Loren 'cheeseburger' Beck-Gonzales in the #3 doubles spot. The eagles will face this same team again next Tuesday at home and will then battle Cerritos College on Thursday and will conclude a very busy week @ Orange Coast College on Friday in a big non-conference dual match. Please come by and support the eagles next week, both Tuesday and Thursday home matches start at 2pm!
