Golfers Shoot 415 at Desert

April  21, 2010        Host:  College of the Desert        Site:  Desert Island Country Club     Cathedral City    Weather:   Sunny / Cloudy day with very high winds.

Summary: It was raining all around Cathedral City, but the sun was shinning and the wind was blowing at Desert Island Country Club.  It seems that this year is the season for playing in less than favorable conditions, once again the high winds made the course tough to play.   On one of the best courses we play in the conference MSJC players again struggled with the wind and overall the scores were higher.  Only Joey Eckles hung on to shoot a 77.

COD stayed ahead of Mt. SAC to retain the Conference Lead while  Long Beach fought hard to tie it up with El Camino.  Mt.  San Jacinto finishes the regular season in 6th place and does not make the Conference Final as a Team.   Mt. San Jacinto does get 5 of the 6 individual slots and will send 5 individual players to the Conference Finals.   Congratulations go to Dylan Stenslan of COD who was the number one player in the regular season with a stroke average of 75.
