Lady Eagles Cruise to Win at Cerro Coso

The MSJC women's basketball team got off to a quick start and cruised to 71-44 win Wednesday night at Cerro Coso. The victory improved the Lady Eagles record to 16-8 overall and 8-1 in Foothill Conference. Currently MSJC is tied for first place in the conference with San Bernardino Valley.

Jasmine Nyx and Kelly Johnson (pictured)  paced the Lady Eagles with 17 points a piece as MSJC raced to a 41-16 halftime lead. Michelle Simmons recorded a triple double with 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. Freshman Julia Oberst was solid off the bench with 8 points and 7 rebounds.

MSJC is back in action Saturday when they travel to Victorville to take on the Victor Valley Rams. Game time is 5 pm and all of the action can be heard on the Eagle Radio Network at AM 1620 or across the internet at Johnson
