MSJC Women Win on the Road
The MSJC women's basketball team picked up a road win on Wednesday night as they defeated Imperial Valley College 97-38.
The Lady Eagles scored the first 12 points of the game on their way to building a 62-22 halftime lead as they ran away with the victory. MSJC used a balanced offensive attack as 12 of the 13 Lady Eagles that played in the contest had at least 2 points. Britney Thomas finished with a game high 16 points while also hauling in 11 rebounds. Delacy Brown also finished the game with a double double as she scored 14 points and had a game high 12 rebounds, she also dished out a game high 6 assists. Octavia Williams also reached double figures in scoring with 11 points while Kaila Gower just missed a double double with 9 points and 10 boards. Madeline Morrow added 9 points in the win and Carla Johnson had 8 points and 4 assists.
The win improved the Lady Eagles to 16-1 on the season. MSJC will return to action on Friday when they host San Diego Mesa in a 6 pm contest.
