Madrigal and McCann Honored as Athletes of the Year

Madrigal, who has signed a national letter of intent to Auburn University, helped lead the Eagle baseball team to a record setting season. Drew was named the Most Valuable Player of the Foothill Conference as the Eagles won their first conference title since 1989. Drew was also named to the All American team as well as the all Southern Cal team. His team won a school record 35 games this year and finished one game away from a trip to the state tournament.

McCann was a member of the Lady Eagles basketball team who finished the season with 23 victories the second highest total in school history. Brandie was named first team All Foothill Conference as well as making the all tournament team at the Grossmont Holiday Tournament where she scored 27 points in the championship game. Brandie has signed a full scholarship to Cal State Dominguez Hills to continue her career.
