McCann Signs with Dominguez Hills

MSJC women's basketball player Brandie McCann signed a scholarship oBrandie Signsn Tuesday to continue her athletic and academic career at Cal State Dominguez Hills.

The 5'8 sophomore from Perris was a First Team All Foothill Conference performer this past season for the Lady Eagles. Brandie averaged 13.3 points per game and 3.3 assists while helping MSJC to a 23-9 record and a runner-up finish in the conference. Brandie scored in double figures 17 times on the season including in eight straight games to finish the year. She was named to the All Tournament Team at tBrandie in actionhe Grossmont Holiday Tournament after scoring 27 points in the championship game to give the Lady Eagles the title.

"She was a huge part of what we did this year," said MSJC head coach Chris Mozga. "Although as a team we were disappointed in the way the year ended, the 23 wins we had this year is still the second highest total in school history." "Dominguez is getting a heck of a player that can play both guard spots and excel at both."
