Four Lady Eagles Earn Softball Honors

Four MSJC softball players were honored by the Foothill Conference over the weekend as the All Conference teams were announced.aleenabahling.jpg

Pitcher Aleena Bahling and third baseman Asia Thomas both earned First Team honors.  Bahling finished the season with 92 strikeouts in 140 innings pitched, she also had a big season at the plate batting .420.  Bahling led the team in both homeruns with 5 and RBIs with 29.  Thomas led the team with a batting average of .495 she also drove in 19 runs.

Mariah Borjon and Renee Rayls were both named second team all conference.  Borjon hit .339 and drove in 16 runs while stealing 6 bases. Borjon also scored a team high 31 runs for the year.  Rayls hit .376 and had 16 RBIs and 5 steals.  Borjon and Rayls batted one two in the Lady Eagles line-up most of the season.

The Lady Eagles finished the season 8-6 in Foothill Conference action and 14-23 overall.


Aleena Bahling was named First Team All Foothill Conference this weekend for her efforts during the 2012 softball season.  Bahling led the team in both homeruns and RBIs for the season.  Three other MSJC players were also honored.
