Lady Eagle Softball Team Falls to Top Ranked Palomar
The MSJC softball team returned to Pacific Coast Athletic Conference action on Wednesday and lost to Palomar, the State's top ranked team 9-0 in six innings.
The Lady Eagles managed just two hits off Comets starting pitcher Kristina Carbajal, she also struck out 6 in the shut out. Nicole Stressling and Angie Lopez each had a hit for MSJC. Sierra Falcon took the loss in the circle for MSJC as she pitched 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 8 earned runs.
The loss drops MSJC to 7-13 on the season and 1-6 in PCAC play while Palomar improved to 16-1-1 and 8-0 in conference action. The Lady Eagles will travel to San Diego Mesa on Friday for a 3 pm game and return home next Wednesday March 18th when they will take on San Diego City. The game on the Menifee Campus next Wednesday is also scheduled for 3 pm.
Sierra Falcon and the MSJC softball team ran into a hot team on Wednesday as they lost to #1 ranked Palomar 9-0 in San Marcos. The Lady Eagles play at San Diego Mesa on Friday, before returning home to host San Diego City next Wednesday. (Reyes/Talon)
