Lady Eagles Move to 4-0 in Conference

The MSJC softball team moved 4-0 in Foothill Conference play with an easy 16-0Lynsie Caldwell win over visiting College of the Desert on Wednesday.

Lynsie Caldwell and Sam Martinez combined to throw a no hitter as Caldwell went four innings striking out four and Martinez pitched the fifth to complete the game. Caldwell is now 4-0 in conference with a 0.00 earned run average.

Caldwell also led the way on offense as MSJC pounded out 16 hits. Caldwell went 4 for 4 with 5 RBI, 3 runs, and 2 stolen bases. She is also leading the conference in hitting with a .750 average. Klarissa Flores added 2 hits, 2 runs, and 2 RBI while Stephanie Cardenas picked up 3 RBI on 2 hits. Samantha Rodriguez, Sahlisa Treharne, and Alexis Simpson each had 2 hits as well for the Lady Eagles.

MSJC who is now tied with Antelope Valley for first place in the Foothill Conference will take on the Marauders FrSammi Rodrigueziday in Lancaster. The Lady Eagles are currently 8-10 overall.
