Lady Eagles Shut Out SBVC; Even League Record

The MSJC softball team improved to 2-2 in Foothill Conference play on Wednesday as thheatherforroster.jpgey shut out visiting San Bernardino Valley 1-0.

Aleena Bahling went the distance for the Lady Eagles allowing just three hits while striking out 5.  The shut out was Bahling's first of the year.  The only run of the game came in the bottom of the third when Mariah Borjon doubled and was driven in on a one out single by Heather Hermida.  Hermida finished the day going 2 for 2 as she had a triple to go along with her RBI single.  The Wolverines had two base runners reach third base with a pair of triples, but both times Bahling was able to get out of the inning.

MSJC now moves to 3-8-1 overall while San Bernardino fell to 8-10 overall and are tied with MSJC at 2-2 in Foothill Conference action.  The Lady Eagles return to action on Friday March 11th when they host Chaffey College in a 3 pm game at Menifee's Wheat Field.
