The Lady Eagles put two runs on the board in the top of the second to take control of the game.  Sierra Falcon got things going when she singled home Jordan Sage.  Amanda Escalera then tripled home Falcon to extend the MSJC lead to 2-0.  The Lady Eagles tacked on a run in the third when Angie Lopez scored on a Karina Hernandez single.  MSJC would really blow the game open in the fourth when they scored 4 runs to push the lead to 7-0.  In the fourth Ashley Brown, Jena Chilson, Lopez, and Sage each picked up RBIs.  Lopez and Sage struck again in the top of the 6th as each added an RBI and the Lady Eagles led 9-0.  Southwestern tried to rally late as they scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth and one in the 7th, but it wasn't enough to overcome MSJC's big lead.

MSJC's offense had 17 hits on the day led by; Nicole Stressling, Brown, and Chilson who all had 3 hits.  Lopez and Sage finished the day with 2 RBIs a piece.  Sage also earned the win in the circle as she nearly went the distance throwing 6 and 2/3 innings.  Chilson recorded the final out of the day.

The win improved the Lady Eagles record on the season to 14-8 overall, they are now 4-2 in PCAC play.  Southwestern fell to 2-4 in conference and 13-9-1 overall.  MSJC is back in action on Friday when they travel to San Marcos to take on first place Palomar.  Friday's game will begin at 3 pm.
