Late Rally by Imperial Defeats MSJC Softball

The MSJC softball team rallied for a lead in the top of the fifth inning, but couldn't hang on Wednesday as they lost on the road to Imperial Valley 6-3.softballforivc1-17.jpg

The Lady Eagles fell behind 2-0 through four innings, but rallied to score three times in the top of the 5th on RBIs from Arianna Abarca, Kristin Storer, and Natalia LeDesma.  The Arabs though were able to find their footing and make a rally of their own in the bottom of the sixth to score four times and secure the victory.

MSJC had 6 total hits in the game, while IVC had 13.

The loss drops the Lady Eagles record to 7-9 overall on the season they are 2-4 in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play.  Imperial improved to 12-4 overall and are now 3-2 in the PCAC.  MSJC will return to action on Friday when they host San Diego Mesa on the Menifee Campus at 3 pm.
