MSJC Softball Still Looking for First PCAC Win
The MSJC softball team ran into a hot hitting Grossmont squad on Wednesday as they fell to the Griffons 10-0 in a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference game in El Cajon.
Grossmont got off to a fast start as they scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning and added three more in the second. The Griffons tacked on a run in third and two more in the fourth as they won the five inning contest.
Maegan Rowley had two hits to lead the MSJC offense while Marissa Morales and Tiffany Lee had one hit a piece. Alasia Tana-Torres took the loss in the circle for the Lady Eagles she pitched two innings allowing 7 runs.
The loss drops the Lady Eagles overall record on the season to 4-12, they are 0-5 in the PCAC while Grossmont improved to 7-7-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play. MSJC will be back in action today (Thursday Feb. 26th) when they host Imperial Valley College on the Menifee Campus starting at 3 pm.
