Fontay Mozga Named New Volleyball Coach

Mt. San Jacinto Dean of Athletics Patrick Springer announced today that Fontay Mozga will be the new Lady Eagles volleyball coach effective immediately.


Mozga was an all conference volleyball player at Kings River (Reedley) College and Coach Fontay Mozgacoached for four years at Indio High School.  Mozga is also currently an assistant basketball coach at MSJC where she has helped lead the Lady Eagles to back to back play-off appearances and the two most successful seasons in the school’s history.


The 34 year old Hanford, California native has coached either volleyball, basketball or both continuously for the past 12 years, with stops at Indio High School and College of the Desert along the way.  “I am very excited to take this position here at MSJC, this is a great community and a great opportunity,” said Mozga.  “We want to get started as quickly as we can putting together our team for next year, so we’ll be out recruiting and trying to find some players as soon as we can.”


Over the past two seasons the Lady Eagles volleyball team has posted an overall record of 10-28 going 7-17 in Foothill Conference play.  Any players interested in
