Kushner Named PCAC Player of the Year in Volleyball

Taylor Kushner finished off her stellar MSJC career by being named the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year this week when the all conference volleyball teams were announced.MSJCvb79.jpg

Kushner, who was also named First Team All State, led the state in both total kills and kills per set this season as she helped the Lady Eagles volleyball team to a 16-9 record.  Alissya Theis, who finished her sophomore season 7th in the state in assists, was named Second Team All PCAC.

Sophomores Iesha Leota, Sam Salcido, and Kriston Hilkey all earned Honorable Mention status.  This group of sophomores had an outstanding season this year as the Lady Eagles came up just one match short of earning a trip to the CCCAA Southern California Regional Tournament.



#13 Taylor Kushner was honored by being named both the Player of the Year in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference and First Team All State.  Kushner led the state in kills this season with 567.  #4 Alissya Theis was named 2nd team All PCAC after finishing the season 7th in the state in assists.
