Lady Eagle Volleyball Team Cruises Past SBVC

The MSJC women's volleyball team evened their conference record on Wednesday night with a 3-0 sweep of visiting San Bernardino Valley.juliabalancierforsbvc-16.jpg

The Lady Eagles got off to a fast start as they jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the opening set on their way to a 25-17 win.  MSJC followed it up with a second set win 25-19 and completed the sweep in the third winning by a score of 25-22.

Lauren Robertson led a well balanced offense with 9 kills, while Luann O'Kane added 6, and Dayanerrah Taoete added 5 with all of hers coming in the third set.  Camryn Bootsma had 18 assists in the victory and Jeannie Hifo picked up 12 digs.

The win improved MSJC's overall record on the season to 11-6, they are now 1-1 in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North Division play.  The Lady Eagles will be back in action on Friday when they travel to San Marcos to take on Palomar.  Friday's PCAC North match will begin at 5 PM.




Julia Balancier (#5) had 3 kills, 3 digs, 1 solo block, and 1 block assist Wednesday night as the MSJC women's volleyball team swept visiting San Bernardino Valley in a PCAC North Division match.  (DeeAnn Bradley/MSJC).
