The Lady Eagles have been dominate so far this season as they improved to 7-0 with the two victories.  MSJC has won five of their seven matches in straight sets and have only lost two sets all season long.  Friday the Lady Eagles started the day with a 3-1 win over Antelope Valley.  MSJC took the first set 25-21 before the Marauders evened the match by taking the second set by a 21-25 score of their own.  The Lady Eagles would bear down in the third and fourth sets to take the match with set wins of 25-19 and 25-17.  Ruby Ruiz was the offensive star of the match as she knocked down 12 kills, Lauryn Patterson added 8.  Lannie Maffucci passed out a team high 25 assists and Cynthia Arrango picked up 17 digs in the victory.

In the second match of the day MSJC stayed on track as they defeated Citrus College for the second time this season, winning this time 3-0.  The Lady Eagles had defeated the Owls 3-1 back on September 5th.  MSJC dominated play from the opening set as they won by scores of 25-10, 25-11, and 25-17.  Patterson led in kills this time for MSJC with 7 while Iasia Bailey had 6 and Jami Loerch and Cashlee Hullar each had 5.  Maffucci had 23 assists and Arrango was solid on defense once again with 14 digs.

The 7-0 Lady Eagles will be in action twice this coming week as they travel to East Los Angeles on Tuesday and Cuyamaca on Friday.  Both road matches this week are scheduled to begin at 5 pm.
