The MSJC women's volleyball team won for the fourth straight time on Wednesday night as they swept their way past Southwestern 3-0 in Chula Vista.
The Lady Eagles dominated the action from the start winning the first set 25-12. MSJC's closest set of the night came in the second when they won 25-19, and in the third the Lady Eagles cruised to an easy 25-10 win to complete the match.
Taylor Kushner had 17 kills in the match, Iesha Leota added 8. Mercedes Bree and Kriston Hilkey both recorded 4 kills a piece. Alissya Theis had another match high in assists with 29. A trio of Lady Eagles had double digit nights in digs as Sam Salcido had 13 and Theis and Ashley Cork both had 12.
The victory pushed the Lady Eagles record to 16-6 on the year, they are 9-4 in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference matches while Southwestern remained winless at 0-19 and 0-14.
MSJC will play their final home match of the season on Friday when they Grossmont College at 6 pm. Grossmont comes into Friday night's match ranked #3 in the state with a perfect 22-0 record overall they are 13-0 in the PCAC.
